ফেসবুকে সরাসরি ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও সম্প্রচারের সুবিধা

ভিডিও কনটেন্টকে আরও আকর্ষনীয় করে তুলতে সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমগুলো এখন রীতিমতো প্রতিযোগিতায় নেমেছে। ইউটিউবে অতি উন্নতমানের ৪কে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও সরাসরি সম্প্রচারের সুবিধা চালু করার ঘোষণা আসতে না আসতেই এবার ফেসবুক ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী লাইভ ভিডিও স্ট্রিমিং ফিচার চালু করেছে।  সম্প্রতি ফেসবুকের মিডিয়া পেজে এ সেবাটি চালুর ঘোষণা দেওয়া হয়।  

১৩ ডিসেম্বর মঙ্গলবার মার্কিন যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের উটা রাজ্যে অবস্থিত মঙ্গল মরুভূমি গবেষণা কেন্দ্র থেকে স্থানীয় সময় দুপুর তিনটায় ফেসবুকে পরীক্ষামূলকভাবে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী লাইভ ভিডিও সম্প্রচার করে বিশ্বখ্যাত ন্যাশনাল জিওগ্রাফি ম্যাগাজিন। এতে মঙ্গল গ্রহ নিয়ে ৮০ দিনেরও বেশি সময় ধরে গবেষণারত বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের আটজন মহাকাশ বিজ্ঞানী অংশ নেয়। সারা সান্তার উপস্থাপনায় প্রায় এক ঘন্টারও বেশি সময় ধরে চলা ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী লাইভ ভিডিওতে বিজ্ঞানীদের গবেষণার বিভিন্ন কর্মযজ্ঞ দেখানো হয়।   

ফেসবুক জানায়, আগামী ২০১৭ সালে পর্যায়ক্রমে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী লাইভ ভিডিও স্ট্রিমিং ফিচারটি সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত করে দেওয়া হবে।

উল্লেখ্য, ফেসবুক ২০১৫ সালের আগষ্টে লাইভ ভিডিও সেবা চালু করে;ওই বছরেরই সেপ্টেম্বরে ফেসবুক নিয়ে আসে বহুল আলোচিত ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও।

Prothom Alo's Mojo workshop fetured by UK's Portal

Recently renowned UK-based website Journalism.co.uk has featured on Mobile Journalism (MoJo) training workshop held in July in Dhaka, where reporters were taught the basic skills of shooting, editing and publishing content with a smartphone. You can read details at Journalism.co.uk

Prothom Alo hosts Mobile Journalism Workshop

The leading Bangladeshi newspaper 'Prothom Alo'  has hosted a 3-day workshop on Mobile Journalism. 

The workshop was held from July 26-28, 2016 at the head office of the daily Prothom Alo in Dhaka.

It was the first time that Mobile Journalism workshop has been held in Bangladesh.

The workshop, led by Jamil Khan, Lecturer of the Department of Mass Communications, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, gave attending journalists an opportunity to learn the techniques and workflow when using a Smartphone.

Total 27 journalists have been trained during the full period of the workshop. During the workshop participants produced material that is useful for transmission on TV, online & social media platforms. 

At the end of this field training, journalists have learnt:

• How to collect and work with UGC
• How to use the best practice for recording, editing and producing video on an Android phone
• How to record the best quality audio interview
• Basic steps of becoming a mobile reporter
• Useful tips for shooting mobile video : locations, lighting and audio
• Introduce with basic MoJo kits and apps
• Basics of mobile video editing on Kinemaster/ iMovie and other mobile apps

৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও তৈরীর অ্যাপ

ডিজিটাল প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহার করে অভিনব কায়দায় গল্প বলার কৌশল খুঁজছে বিশ্বের নামিদামি গণমাধ্যমগুলো। মোবাইল প্রযুক্তির কল্যাণে সংবাদকর্মীরা আজকাল ঘটনাস্থল থেকে এইচডি মানের ভিডিও ফুটেজ, অডিও ক্লিপ ও স্থির ছবি তোলাসহ গোটা সম্পাদনার কাজ শেষে তা নিউজরুমে পাঠাচ্ছেন। আর ভিজ্যুয়াল কনটেন্ট হিসেবে প্রথাগত ভিডিওচিত্রের গন্ডি থেকে বেরিয়ে একে আরও আকর্ষনীয় করে দর্শকদের কাছে পৌঁছে দিতে এখন নতুন আঙ্গিকে তৈরী হচ্ছে সোশ্যাল ভিডিও কিংবা ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী প্রযুক্তির ভিডিও। 

সাধারণ ব্যবহারকারীরা কিংবা মোবাইল সাংবাদিকরা এতদিন পর্যন্ত ‘বুবলি’ ও ‘এসফেয়ার’ নামে আইফোনের জন্য নির্মিত এই দুটি অ্যাপ ব্যবহার করে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ছবি তুলতে পারতেন; তবে সম্প্রতি যুক্তরাষ্ট্রভিত্তিক মোবাইল ফোন অ্যাপ্লিকেশন (অ্যাপ) নির্মাতা প্যাপেরো আইএনসি ‘পাই’ নামে এমন একটি অ্যাপ প্রকাশ করেছে যার সাহায্যে কোন ধরণের বানিজ্যিক ৩৬০  ক্যামেরা যেমন স্যামসাংয় গিয়ার ৩৬০, রিকো থীটা এস কিংবা কোন প্রকার ভারচুয়াল রিয়েলিটি (ভিআর) যন্ত্রপাতি ছাড়াই ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিওচিত্র তৈরী করতে পারবে। অ্যাপলের অ্যাপ স্টোর থেকে বিনামূল্যে অ্যাপটি নামিয়ে নেওয়া যাবে।

আইফোনে ব্যবহার উপযোগী পাই অ্যাপটি দিয়ে খুব সহজেই ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও বানানো যাবে। অ্যাপটির সহযোগি প্রতিষ্ঠান ইনস্টা ৩৬০-এর ন্যানো ক্যামেরা ব্যবহারের সুযোগ রয়েছে এতে। ব্যবহারকারী চাইলে অ্যাপটিতে সমর্থন করে এমন আরো কয়েকটি জনপ্রিয় ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ক্যামেরা ব্যবহার করেও ভিডিও ধারণের কাজ করতে পারবেন। রেকর্ড করা ভিডিওতে বিশেষ আবহ বা স্পেশাল ইফেক্ট, শিরোনাম এবং ইমোজি ব্যবহারের সুবিধা নিতে পারবেন এ অ্যাপের সাহায্য। ভিডিওটি সঠিকভাবে সম্পাদনা শেষে তা ব্যবহারকারীর পাই অ্যাকাউন্ট ছাড়াও বিভিন্ন সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে প্রচার করা যাবে। ছবি আদান-প্রদানের জনপ্রিয় অ্যাপ্লিকেশন ইনস্টাগ্রামের আদলে নির্মিত এই অ্যাপের সাহায্যে অন্যসব ব্যবহারকারীদের তৈরী করা ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও কিংবা স্লাইস ক্লিপগুলো নিউজ ফিডে দেখা যাবে।       

খোঁজ নিয়ে যানা যায়, পাই অ্যাপটি সম্পর্কে প্রথম তথ্য দেয় নতুন প্রযুক্তিপণ্য ও সেবাবিষয়ক সাইট ‘প্রোডাক্ট হান্ট ডটকম’। তাছাড়া সম্প্রতি যুক্তরাজ্যভিত্তিক সাংবাদিকতা বিষয়ক জনপ্রিয় একটি অনলাইন পোর্টালে বলা হয়, খুব সহজে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রী ভিডিও তৈরীর মাধ্যমে উদ্ভাবনী উপায়ে সংবাদ পরিবেশনায় পাই অ্যাপটি ইতিবাচক ভূমিকা রাখবে।

Mobile Journalism Field Work: Producing multimedia content with smartphone

The learning experience of students in field training is worthwhile studying. On April 14th, 2016, mobile journalism field training was held for the students of Mass Communications Department of Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR).

Most of the people with smartphone today take a lot of photos and put them on the Internet. And, this generation is not new to mobile technology and shooting videos. But, there are some aspects of shooting videos with mobile which are not well known and this hinders getting good quality videos. There are some universal do's and don'ts when capturing videos with a mobile. These are some factors that even a mobile journalist at times overlooks. These are the basics which not only help journalists but also the public in getting a good video which can be used with as little editing as possible. In MoJo, the major influential factor is the time spent between shooting, and editing these videos, and sending these to the newsroom. That tine difference, that gives you the edge of a breaking news as opposed to a headline.

Mojo Field Training Program has been designed to improve the overall quality of a student to use their smartphone for filming, editing and publishing media content. Smartphone is the perfect device to capture, edit and then instantly distribute the multimedia content around the globe especially during the breaking news event.

This was the very first mojo student assignment submission for my students. The video was captured by iPhone 6 & edited with iMove apps.

At the end of this field training, students have learnt:
