The leading Bangladeshi newspaper 'Prothom Alo' has hosted a 3-day workshop on Mobile Journalism.
The workshop was held from July 26-28, 2016 at the
head office of the daily Prothom Alo in Dhaka.
It was the first time that Mobile Journalism workshop
has been held in Bangladesh.
The workshop, led by Jamil Khan, Lecturer of the
Department of Mass Communications, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia,
gave attending journalists an opportunity to learn the techniques and workflow
when using a Smartphone.
Total 27 journalists have been trained during the full
period of the workshop. During the workshop participants produced material that
is useful for transmission on TV, online & social media platforms.
At the end of this field training, journalists have learnt:
• How to collect and work with UGC
• How to use the best practice for recording, editing and producing video on an Android phone
• How to record the best quality audio interview
• Basic steps of becoming a mobile reporter
• Useful tips for shooting mobile video : locations, lighting and audio
• Introduce with basic MoJo kits and apps
• Basics of mobile video editing on Kinemaster/ iMovie and other mobile apps
